Becoming a Member of Lowcountry Hunt

Thank you for your interest in becoming a member of the Lowcountry Hunt. You'll find some important details and requirements for the current 2024 - 2025 Season below.

Requirements 

  • All subscribers must receive an invitation to hunt by the LH Masters 

  • All riding members and guests who cap must have a valid SC Hunting License

    • You can get more information on obtaining your Hunting License here. ​

  • Each horse hunting must have a current negative coggins test on file with the Hunt Secretary​

  • All riders must have signed Waivers on file for the current season

​​Social Memberships with Lowcountry Hunt 

If you don't wish to ride or aren't a regular rider, but still want to contribute to the Hunt and join our social activities, social membership is for you. You can become a Social Member upon receiving the recommendation of a hunt member to the Lowcountry Masters and payment of the Social membership fee.

 

As always, Opening Meet, Closing Meet and Hunt Weekend have additional fees for all Members and guests. 

Capping In with Lowcountry Hunt 

Visitors and subscribers' guests are welcome to hunt with the permission of the Masters. Ideally, guests are accompanied at all times by a sponsoring subscriber in good standing who contacts the Masters in advance of the meet for permission for their guest to Cap.

  • Caps are limited to three (3) per season.

  • Fees - Capping fees are collected by the Field Secretary prior to each hunt.

    • Adults ​& Juniors 

      • During Roading & Cubbing season, if it is your first time out riding to hounds your cap fee is waived. After that, the following fees apply​

      • Roading or Cubbing Season

        • $50 fee

      • Formal Season

        • $100 fee

      • Opening & Closing Meet

        • $150 fee

      • Hunt Weekend

    • Juniors 

      • $35
